Professor of Justice & Public Policy / Former Police Chief. discusses the tragic death of Michigan State Police Officer Daniel Kerstetter, who died after being involved in a fatal car accident while on duty. Officer Kerstetter had recently graduated from the Motor Carrier Officer Recruit School and was enforcing commercial vehicle regulations when he was struck by a woman experiencing a medical emergency. The woman died instantly, while Kerstetter succumbed to his injuries days later after his family chose to remove him from life support.
