The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl is Lyga's first novel. 
Publisher's Weekly reported that Jeremiah S. Chechik,  director of Benny & Joon, is negotiating for film rights.
He authored Wolverine: Worst Day Ever for Marvel Comics, Flash: "Hocus Pocus", "The Tornado Twins", "Johnny Quick" and "The Legends of Forever" for DC Comics.
