During these difficult times, Alessandro Scalora & Igor Golovach decided to take the time to unite people from all over the world of the beauty DanceSport industry. Instructors, choreographers, and dancers alike joined us to share their thoughts on staying strong and positive during this worldwide epidemic, sharing their advice on fighting on and not losing hope, sending their messages of support and aspiration. Thus, the project of "Stay United" was formed.

This video features Antoaneta Popova!  Antoaneta is originally from Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She moved to Canada in 2008 to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a World Champion in Ballroom Dancing. Matching up with her dance partner Anton Belyayev brings that dream to reality and in 2016 when they become the WDSF Professional World 10 Dance Champions.

From a young age she was very passionate about drawing so, after being in special program for arts in elementary school, she continued studying at the best high school for arts in Bulgaria and was accepted at the National Art Academy. Unfortunately, later on a hard decision had to be taken and it came down to either pursuing her dancing or art dreams! Since she decided to move to Toronto to represent Canada as a competitive ballroom dancer, she had to drop out of the Art Academy in Bulgaria. However, that hasn’t stopped her from keeping up with her art as a designer of her dance costumes and also her students’ costumes.

Today, Antoaneta is committed to raising a new generation of champions and helping the world become a better place with one random act of kindness each day!
