Dane Smith is the Senior Fellow and President Emeritus of Growth & Justice, having led the organization from 2007 to 2018. Dane has overseen major accomplishments and initiatives during his decade at the helm and has established Growth & Justice as a constructive and practical voice  for a more inclusive and equitable economy in Minnesota. Dane's career also includes 30 years in journalism, reporting and writing on politics and government for  the Minneapolis Star, the St. Paul Pioneer Press, and the Star Tribune.
