In this episode, I break down my heated interactions with Julie Randall, Director of Family Promise, and how she weaponized resources against me when I spoke up about mistreatment. It all started when my advocate twisted a situation involving an argument I had while moving—spinning it into a false domestic violence claim. Instead of supporting me, they got sarcastic and retaliated when I called them out.
Julie kicked me out of her office for speaking my truth, then teamed up with the apartment complex to force me out completely. Despite originally telling me I'd have housing support until January 2025, they suddenly switched up in September, targeting me and other Black women. Their excuse? That I wasn’t verifying my income—when in reality, that’s exactly why I was there that day!
It gets deeper… They even had an insider at my job leaking details about my FMLA claim—while I was in therapy, trying to process the trauma they were putting me through. And when I pushed back and had IHCDA investigate, suddenly I was labeled the problem—"abusive," "threatening," and "non-compliant."
They said they could remove me "whenever they wanted"—and that’s exactly what they did. This is my story. This is our reality. 🗣️🔥
