* God is in the business of shifting authority from those who squander it to those who will be faithful with it.

* He did it in Isaiah 22 with Shebna and Eliakim.

* He did it in Ezekiel 40 with Abiathar and Zadok.

* He did it here in Daniel 5 with Daniel.

* Just before King B was murdered God shifted Daniel into a place of authority for the next king.

* Our role is to simply be faithful where God has placed us and then He will handle the shift.
