The initial adventure I embarked on during my gap year was spending three weeks living communally on a kibbutz. There, I met Daniel Glassner, a 12th-grade student and Magen David Adom (MDA) instructor, who has lived on Ein HaNatziv for the majority of his life. This episode is a conversation about Daniel’s everyday life as a teenager on one of Israel’s only remaining religious Kibbutzim. He describes the functionality of the Kibbutz, as well as its values, which he later compares to his own.
