Daniel LaPlante had a very rough childhood and had to endure abuse from several authority figures in his life. He was deeply disturbed and developed some unusual habits that included breaking and entering with the intention to play with the homeowner's minds. He eventually escalated to more violent crime. If he had received the help he needed at a young age perhaps most of these tragic crimes could have been prevented.
