Daniel prays in during the long time of desolation upon Jerusalem, acknowledging not only his people's sins, but also his own against God. Yet, in this time of repentance, he also confesses the even grander mercy of God that covers all, still petitioning for the Lord to hear his cry, forgive, and act for His people.
