Daniel: Week 1The theme of Daniel is the sovereignty of God. There are two kinds of literature within this book. The first six chapters are historical narrative, highlighting an Israelite names Daniel who served in the king's court at the time of the Babylonian exile. The last six chapters are apocalyptic literature because these visions take Daniel to days beyond his own...to the coming of God's kingdom.
