Thommy Waite's Square Record

Danny Did A Fluffy by Thommy Waite (Full Audiobook)

Listen Later

I published Danny Did A Fluffy in December 2019. It's a disturbing novelette about two brothers who become internet famous as young children. Until now, it's been behind a paywall. But today I uploaded the full 52 minute audiobook to my YouTube channel and podcast.

I narrate the tale with an abundance of provincial gusto – audio is the ideal format to consume this weird little ditty. Synopsis:

"Kevin and Danny Sandalford were just two kids leading a normal suburban existence on the outskirts of Sydney, until a chance viral video changed their lives forever.

Desperate to cash in on their fifteen minutes of fame, the Sandalford bros get caught up in the dark underbelly of showbusiness. They fall head-first into a gluttonous lifestyle filled to the brim with sex and drugs, until a femme fatale divides their loyalties, setting off a public showdown of epic proportions.

In the pursuit of relevance, sacrifices need to be made. What depraved depths will the brothers sink to?

A dizzying and disgusting tale of sibling rivalry gone wrong. Grunge lit for the YouTube generation — a must-read short story for fans of Irvine Welsh and Chuck Palahniuk."

I hope you dig it. If you do, I would encourage you to check out my first full-length novel Any Day You Can Die, which is available on Amazon everywhere. Find all the links below.

Any Day You Can Die reviews:

"A tell-all gringo adventure that makes you want to delete Facebook, drink mojitos, and hope your small crypto fortune someday turns to platinum gold." - FROTHTOWN

"An explicit study of human behaviour disguised as an expatriate's unscrupulous capers in Medellín. Waite has created something unique and modern, carefully displaying the possibilities open to us in the world of technology and commodity, whilst exposing us for who we truly are when faced with immoral self-gratification." - BOOK ODYSSEY

"Any Day You Can Die has the style and instant literary punch that reminds me of Chuck Palahniuk. Thommy Waite writes crisp clear cut storytelling that you find yourself getting addicted to." - TRAINWRECK TENDENCIES

"It's been a while since I've read a transgressive novel as good as this, a proper good romp filled with sex, drugs, booze, a wee bit more sex and a pinch more drugs and a whole load of intrigue. Imagine the guys from Trainspotting with some crazy IT skills, picture the damage and chaos they could cause and that is the book you've got here." - GNOME APPRECIATION SOCIETY

"This book is, in some ways, the reflection of humanity that you dare not see. It goes hand-in-hand (and dick-in-hand) with your dirty Jungian Shadow." - AHEAD OF THE CURVE

"The story of an Australian gringo expat who's silly exploits splice out of the book like a broken condom full of bad ideas." - A THIN SLICE OF ANXIETY
