We've had him on before, but we couldn't resist having him on again to speak with the young men of Apogee. Today, Danny Vega talks to the young men about all things health, mindset, but most importantly, the consequences of not taking action and holding boundaries when you see tyranny taking place. With a family based in Cuba, Danny knows all too well what can happen when the virtue of freedom isn't maintained.

DANNY VEGA
Danny Vega is a 220-pound raw powerlifter with meet bests of 640 squat in wraps (610 raw), 400 bench, and 700 deadlift.
A native of Miami, Florida, Danny received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University in 2004, where he was a member of the football team and a three-time Dean’s List recipient. Danny earned his Master’s of Science in Human Performance from the University of Florida, where he worked with the national championship men’s basketball team along with women’s basketball, tennis, and golf programs.
He then went on to become the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for VCU basketball, helping the Rams to the 2007 conference champions and making it to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
In June of 2016, Danny discovered the ketogenic lifestyle and never looked back. Today he and his wife, Maura, run Fat Fueled Family, a podcast, blog, and YouTube channel meant to educate people on how to successfully lead a fat-fueled, low carb life.

Our goal is to provide scholarships to as many Acton Academy students in need as we possibly can. 100% of all proceeds from this podcast go directly towards sponsoring young heroes here in the Sacramento area. We know and believe that a greater future starts with greater education for more students.
