A little boy once told his grandmother that he WILL be an NBA player someday. What a 7-year-old spoke into existence became his reality; friends, meet MARIO WEST.
 
MARIO is a retired NBA Basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks and New Jersey Nets. He was nicknamed F-150 for his dynamic defensive skills and was a member of 2004 Final Four for the Georgia Tech basketball team. He completed his professional basketball career playing in 6 different countries, he won 2 championships and was named MVP.

Mario West is the co-author of the book Defend The Dream [The Ultimate Playbook to Achieve any Dream in Life] and the Director of the National Basketball Players Association for Off the Court Program. His non-profit organization, The Mario West Foundation Inc, is on a mission to help young people through community outreach.
In this Episode, Mario talks about his journey to the NBA.  His faith in God, the love of a grandmother, and the strength of a mother.  We discuss his book, Defend the Dream, and why it's so important to DREAM!
