Kevin Smith, , creator of Clerks, Dogma, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob, Comic Book Men and so much more once upon a time in 1998 was given the opportunity to write Daredevil for Marvel Comics. This was a huge undertaking as many Hollywood writers and directors had a passion for comics, but never brought their talents to the medium. However, after encouraging words from the creative team of Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti helped Kevin Smith take the leap to add a new chapter to Matt Murdock's life.
Kevin then goes on to write the storyline Guardian Devil to help launch the Marvel Knights imprint, which was an exciting time for Marvel Comics. This storyline features many themes of romance, betrayal, faith in oneself and beliefs, test of humanity, ethics, and some much more in this thrilling 8 issues series, all with ties to the larger Marvel Universe.
