I had such a wonderful time chatting to Miči about her artist journey since 2021. And what an ARTIST she is. I hope you enjoy this as much as we both did in the EXT studio.

Here's Miči's bio if you want to read more: Zimbabwean-born, London-bred artist Miči is an Afrohouse vocalist, songwriter, and producer. Drawing inspiration from jazz, neo-soul, gospel, indie, and folk music, her sound blends emotional songwriting with Afro-electronic and house influences.
Miči’s musical journey began in church, where she first discovered her voice, later learning guitar and piano during her teenage years in London. Her approach to music is deeply intuitive: she often visualises full arrangements before they are created.
Her work gained notable recognition on the South African house scene in 2021 through collaborations with prominent artists including Lemon & Herb, TekniQ, Kid Fonque, China Charmeleon, and Sun-El Musician. These collaborations helped establish her as a distinctive voice within the contemporary Afrohouse landscape.
In 2024, Miči released the collaborative album 'feelings' with the Kenyan label Gondwana, featuring contributions from leading South African Afrohouse producers and artists. The project further expanded her international network and positioned her within a growing transnational Afro-electronic community.
Miči’s artistic journey has taken her across the Netherlands, Kenya, and South Africa, where she has engaged with diverse creative scenes and built cross-cultural collaborations. Beyond performance, Miči also composes and co-produces her music and is currently working toward a new body of work that reflects her evolving artistic voice.
