Everyone is vulnerable, no matter how much they try to avoid it. We are born vulnerable and stay that way for our entire childhood, yet we try to distance ourselves from it into adulthood. But why?

One of the greatest myths is that vulnerability is a sign of weakness and that leaders who show vulnerability lose respect.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Vulnerability does not mean being weak or submissive. Rather, it implies the courage to be yourself.

As luck would have it, we discovered we're actually reading the same book (Dare to Lead, by @brenebrown), which talks a lot about how vulnerability has the power to transform us into better leaders and creators.

We found ourselves recalling times when stepping outside of our comfort zones led to rewarding results, especially in connecting with an audience.
