Spike Lee highlighted the issue in his iconic movie "School Daze" with the battle between the jigaboos and the wannabees. More than two decades later it's still at the forefront of conversation with films such as "Dark Girls," which recently premiered on OWN, stirring up controversy. Where does this stratification in communities of color come from? Does skin color really create different circumstances in society? Does this carry over into the dating world? He poses questions and tackles issues that incite heated debate. Dennis is a retired firefighter and paramedic, and also a sports bar owner.
