Surat Al-Qassass brings to light an unwavering divine promise: that the darkness of the night will ultimately be replaced by the brightness of the day, so long as God wills it. In the days of the pandemic, as our community grapples with our new social reality, being deprived of the annual Hajj, or the festivities of Eid-ul-Adha, perhaps the God's promise can fall on our hearts like water on fire.
