Darvaza Gas Crater

The Darvaza gas crater is a crater of flaming natural gas in Turkmenistan. It’s also known as “The Gates of Hell” and was created by when drillers accidentally discovered a cavern. It was believed to be set on fire to try to get rid of the gas pocket, but it’s been on fire for years and has no sign of stopping.
