It is a condensed version of Bhagavata, which is considered one of the eighteen MahapuranasReciting Narayaneeyam is said to have many benefits, including:<ul><li>Divine fervor: It is said to create divine fervor. </li><li>Peace, happiness, and prosperity: It is said to bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to those who recite it. </li><li>Health and longevity: It is said to be a tonic for longevity, health, and happiness. </li><li>Relief from physical and mental ailments: It is believed to have the power to heal physical and mental ailments. </li><li>Strength and humility: It is said to give strength and humility. </li><li>Different perspective: It is said to give a different perspective where one accepts what is given in life as prasadam of the Lord.
