A quick note on programming; I’ve recorded an interview with Abdellatif Aboukoura that I intended to be part of this episode, however, illness and other family things rendered me unable to turn this around in enough time to give it the attention it deserves, so I’ll post it early next week.
This week’s shortened episode sees me talk about Jordan Farr’s goal, which was cool! But it also made me recall the last time Segra Field saw a goalie score a goal. That was less so! And there’s a similarity between then and now that I hope I adequately bring to light.
Thank you again for your sharing and subbing, even if Loudoun is whatever it is, I like to talk about it, and it’s nice to know people like to hear or occasionally read about it.

Hello again. Apologies for the delay in returning; vacation eventually led to house illness and the joys therein. I did get a chance to see and become impressed with Loudoun’s performance this weekend, and I cover that, whatever the chances are they can make the climb into 8th, and even if they can’t, it looks…kind of optimistic for 2027?
After a break, I spend some time with Rida Zouhir to get his thoughts on his new teammates, what he’s been up to, and how he thinks he’ll be able to contribute to the team. I had to do this in a different spot than usual because of the germs in my house, so apologies for any audio changes this week.
Thank you again, and as always, for your time and bandwidth in listening or reading these, it’s entertaining to me, and I hope to others.

Hello again, well over the holiday weekend Loudoun United scored a bunch of goals and STILL LOST, but we talk about what was learned from it.
Following a break, Jordan Farr and I chat about MLS and USL and the positional difference therein, and respect for an ageless Sean Johnson. He also talks about what he can do with and for Loudoun, and he talks about some of his favorite teammates through the years, in a really fun conversation.
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.
Apologies for the short episode; I was hoping to have someone to talk to earlier in the week, but schedules didn’t allow it, so I had to scramble, and thankfully Loudoun was able to accommodate. In a brief and very muggy installment, I talk about how Loudoun took it a little on the chin in El Paso, and how Friday’s game is pretty much a must-win situation.
Over in segment two, Sal Mazzaferro talks about his early-season hamstring tear, the odd coincidence that a Canadian would play in so many warm-weather cities, and the low-key Great White North caucus in Leesburg.

Hello again. This week, we cover Loudoun United’s league-leading 10th draw of the season, a scoreless one with Detroit City. This one, like other recent ones, was encouraging, I think, so there are some positives the team hopes to spring off of, despite an age-old question on soccer reporting: what’s more fun to write about?
Later, Bolu Akinyode joins me for a few minutes, and we go over some of the stops he’s made in the league and his role as elder statesman of sorts. Lots of USL names tossed around in here, including a potential comp for Richie Aman.

This week, I don’t have a guest, just my dulcet tones. I talk about Loudoun’s loss to Charleston, but more than that, talk about the importance of the news of Thor Ulfarsson’s transfer (back) to Iceland. I also talk about the roster piece I did on D.C. United, and why I feel strongly about it, or as strongly about D.C. United that I can feel these days, and dust off the roster/transfer nerdery jacket*.

Wow, a Loudoun win? Go figure! Anyway, a look back at Loudoun’s shutout win over Indy in segment one.
In segment two, I talk to Richie Aman about his last few weeks as a college player and winning the College Cup with Washington (spoiler: it was a LOT of travel), before getting drafted by D.C. United and loaned to Loudoun. He also covers the *MANY CONFLICTING FEELINGS he has around Loudoun’s friendly with D.C.

In this week’s episode, I look back at Loudoun’s draw with Tampa Bay, which wasn’t bad, and perhaps clarified things for Alen Marcina as we get closer to the end of the season than the beginning. Plus, Pedro Santos chats about going from Columbus to Loudoun, coaching his oldest son in youth soccer in the area, and what the future may or may not bring.
Thank you again for allowing me to occupy your time and podcast queues.

Hello, I would have had this out sooner, but I’m learning about channels and track volume in Garageband which output a blank, but recorded, version of this earlier. Loudoun’s loss to Pittsburgh (and their first choice lineup in July finally) is talked about for a second, but I also cover Loudoun United’s relationship with and to D.C. United in various forms. It’s a little stream of consciousness but I hope you get the general jist.
Thank you again for listening, and please like, share and subscribe, and generally tell your friends.

There’s the usual look back at the game, but my chat with Thor Ulfarsson is a fascinating one; were it not for Alen Marcina continuing to rate and track him, I think he might have been out of pro soccer; he talks about the injuries and setbacks he’s had, his thoughts on the team’s play, and where the attack stands. Apologies for the muted audio early on, the power of Zoom helped me to course correct before the good stuff, I think.
As always, if you like this, please share, signal boost, pump tires, and tell a friend. Thanks for listening, and thanks for subscribing!
