The Bloomberg American Health Initiative is an unprecedented investment to tackle health threats in the US. By teaching and applying data-driven approaches to public health problems the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as seen death and illness rates fall. The Health Initiative was launched to continue to improve public health and rigorous research and resolve the most critical threats to American health.

On this episode, Dr. Josh Sharfstein, Associate Dean of Public Health Practice and Training, talks about the fellowship opportunities offered by the School of Public Health via the Bloomberg Health Initiative. He encourages any city staff or NGO employees to apply for a fellowship.

The Bloomberg Fellows Program provides fully subsidized public health training to individuals engaged with organizations tackling critical challenges facing the United States. Applications are open now through December 1, 2017.
