In January 2025, the non-profit organization, None Of Your Business (“NOYB”), filed six GDPR complaints against TikTok, AliExpress, SHEIN, Temu, WeChat and Xiaomi with several European data protection authorities based on the suspected "unlawful transfer of personal data from the EU to China".
