There’s a proper digger’s feel to this week’s Spotlight Mix.
Venice-born GLADIS steps up for Data Transmission with a selection that moves through house, deeper club grooves and tougher techno-leaning territory without getting stuck in one lane.
Born and raised in Venice with Italian-Filipino roots, GLADIS has been involved in electronic music since 2009. Time spent around the clubs of Barcelona, London, Berlin and Ibiza helped shape her approach behind the decks, before a residency at Venice’s TAG Club gave her the space to properly develop it. Releases have since landed on Tenax Recordings, Minimal Movement, H24 Musique, Inwave, E-numbers Label and Dreams on Wax.
And the Spotlight mix gives us a good look at where her head is at as a selector.
Lauren Lo Sung’s ‘Wonk The Funk’ gets things moving before Pancratio’s ‘Badass Music’ and Stbr x Davy’s ‘Hello [at]’ push things further into the groove. Maruwa’s ‘Ottolinge Chick’ sits nicely amongst a run that feels playful without losing its club focus, with Jesse Mass’ ‘Blazing’ and Sub Basics’ ‘Holographic’ keeping the pressure building.
Pancratio makes a second appearance with ‘Are You Listening’, before Sweely’s unmistakable touch arrives via ‘Nunchuck’. From there, Canavezzi’s ‘Void’ and Jnjs’ ‘Go Back’ take things deeper before Darren Roach’s ‘We Are Talking About Humanism’ closes the session.
It’s the kind of tracklist we like seeing on Spotlight. Established diggers sitting alongside less obvious selections, plenty of movement between styles and no rush to reach the biggest record in the folder.
GLADIS clearly knows how to let a set develop.
Get stuck into her Data Transmission Spotlight Mix below.

Beave Gets Behind the Decks for Our Latest Spotlight Mix
Beave has plenty to put in the record bag right now. With his Staff Only Records debut ‘1997’ out since 28th August and ‘Zoolander’ arriving on Solid Grooves Records on 23rd October, the Essex producer steps into our Spotlight series with a selection connecting his own productions, familiar house vocals and a healthy appetite for bass.
There’s more than a decade of work behind that recent run. Beave’s ‘WHERE?’ on The Cuckoos Nest caught fire across Ibiza in 2025 before its official release, finding support from Luke Dean, Robbie Doherty, Dennis Quin and Marsolo. Weighty synths and garage-influenced grooves have become central to his sound, with records built to get bodies moving.
Beave’s ‘Just Another Love Song’, released through Isakei / broke, pushed things further, generating more than six million TikTok impressions and nearly 100,000 SoundCloud plays before release. Then came ‘1997’ on RUZE’s Staff Only Records, which reached the top of Beatport’s overall chart. A busy summer, then.
Next comes Beave’s ‘Zoolander’. His first outing on Solid Grooves lands with support already building around the unreleased record, including plays from Chris Stussy. It’s another significant label debut, arriving while ‘1997’ is still doing the rounds. ‘Zoolander’ isn’t on this mix’s tracklist, but there’s plenty here to get stuck into while we wait.
Across 41 listed selections, Beave gives his own material room alongside records from Rossi., RUZE, SOSA, The Trip and Prospa. His collaborations feature heavily, with Beave and TYGE’s ‘Work This Beat’, Beave and Sami Salem’s ‘Something Beautiful’ and Beave and Backin’99’s ‘Music Is My Life’ all making an appearance. Later, there’s Beave and Ollie Weeks’ ‘Last Night’, plus the Belters Only and Beave edit of Prospa’s ‘Free Your Mind’.
The vocal choices tell their own story. Technotronic’s ‘Pump Up The Jam’, Fingers Inc.’s ‘My House’, ATFC’s ‘Bad Habit’ and Masters At Work’s ‘Work’ all appear as acapellas. It’s a selection that leaves space for the DJ to put familiar voices to work, with plenty of house history sitting among the newer cuts.
Bobby Blanco & Miki Moto’s ‘3am’, in its Ian Carey & Eddie Amador remix, joins David Morales’ ‘Needin U’ and Tiga’s ‘You Gonna Want Me’. Elsewhere, The Trip appear twice with ‘Body Talk’ and ‘Selector’, while Sidney Charles and Kolter’s ‘Back 2 The Beat’ sits in the closing stretch. Metroplane’s ‘Be Where I Am’ gets the final word.
Both Beave’s ‘1997’ and ‘WHERE?’ are in the bag, too. Alongside the collaborations and edits, they make this a chance to hear how his productions fit into his wider taste as a selector. The records that brought people to his name, surrounded by the music he wants to play.
Get stuck into Beave’s Spotlight mix below. His ‘1997’ is out now on Staff Only Records, with ‘Zoolander’ following on Solid Grooves Records on 23rd October.

Ethan Walsh Steps Up for the Data Transmission Spotlight Mix
Ethan Walsh has had the sort of year where records start doing the talking for you. Following the breakout success of ‘Look Good’, the fast-rising UK producer landed on Creamfields Recordings in August with ‘Loving You’, another firmly club-minded cut built around a commanding bassline, zipping synths and uplifting vocals.
‘Look Good’ has already clocked more than nine million streams and picked up a Franky Rizardo remix, while support has come from Max Dean, Interplanetary Criminal, Obskur and L.P. Rhythm. Add appearances alongside Cloonee and Murda Beatz, and Walsh is starting to put some proper weight behind the online numbers. For his Data Transmission Spotlight Mix, though, we get to hear what sits behind his own productions.
It’s a tight selection of rolling house and tech house, with East End Dubs’ ‘Together’, Louis Millne’s ‘Second Guessing’, Malikk’s ‘So Smooth’ and Simone Liberali’s ‘Vibration’ sitting alongside newer cuts from CLUGGY, Nocapz. and WESTGATE. There’s also room for a Mazos edit of Hot Natured’s ‘Reverse Skydiving’, which should tell you this isn’t simply a run through whatever landed in the promo folder this week.
The mix moves with plenty of bounce, clipped percussion and low-end pressure, keeping things rolling rather than chasing obvious peak-time moments. It’s the sort of selection that makes sense a few hours into a basement, when the room is locked and nobody needs convincing.
With ‘Loving You’ adding another strong release to his catalogue, this Spotlight gives us a better look at Ethan Walsh the DJ, not just the producer currently piling up streams.
Turn it up and get stuck into Ethan Walsh’s Data Transmission Spotlight Mix.

    ## Premiere: FIFI FORTE brings the daytime swing on 'Ur Just Fine'
FIFI FORTE lands on Diggin’ Records on September 4 with her three-track 'Gain My Trust EP', and it’s another strong move from the London producer.
After releases on Hottrax, Deeperfect, Pakate and Libero, FIFI has been building serious momentum, with recent music picking up support from Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Dennis Cruz, Nicole Moudaber and plenty more. Her diary tells a similar story, with Paradise appearances alongside dates at Fabric, KOKO and Warehouse Project.
Across 'Gain My Trust', '444' and 'Ur Just Fine', the EP moves through rolling tech house, deep hypnotic grooves and flashes of classic '90s house. Funky basslines, tight percussion and small vocal touches do the work without overcrowding things.
Our premiere, FIFI FORTE's 'Ur Just Fine', takes the warmer route. Latin-leaning grooves give it a loose daytime swing, while the low end keeps enough weight underneath to carry it from rooftop sessions into a packed club later on. FIFI herself describes it as the EP's warmer, daytime moment, and that pretty much nails it.
We're premiering 'Ur Just Fine' below. Get stuck in, then grab the full 'Gain My Trust EP' when it lands tomorrow on Diggin’ Records.

There’s been a steady stream of good club records coming out of Italy for years, and ATLAC is starting to put his name firmly amongst the new crop worth watching.
Born in 1999, the Italian DJ and producer has spent the last few years building his catalogue around tough, groove-led tech house. His sets have taken him through clubs including ilMuretto and CirQ in Venice and Milan’s Rocket Club, while his productions have found support from Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice, Ilario Alicante, Jamie Jones, Adam Beyer, Cloonee, Dennis Cruz and Wade.
2026 has been particularly busy. ATLAC opened the year with his 'Handclap' EP on Loco Dice’s Desolat, pairing the rolling title track with the heavier 'Smokin On', before following up with 'Hood Beat' on Hellbent and 'Goes Like This' for Metamorfosi Records.
    Then came a big one.
August saw ATLAC make his debut on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with the two-track 'You Can Move' EP. The title cut gets straight to work with rolling drums, a thick bassline and a vocal built for the middle of a busy room. 'Strong' strips things back further, leaning into warped vocals and a more hypnotic groove. Both tracks were apparently put together in just a few hours before ATLAC sent them directly to Jamie.
That directness runs straight through this week’s Spotlight Mix.
Tony Romera and Gaba’s 'Naughty' gets things moving before Kidoo, Chico Rose, Fer BR, Artslaves, Braydon Terzo, White Off, Detlef, Dames House, Marchisio and Jason Detox all make appearances. It stays locked into that rolling tech house pocket throughout, plenty of drums, clipped vocals and basslines doing the heavy lifting.
But the interesting bit is how much ATLAC material he’s packed into the hour.
Alongside 'You Can Move', we get 'Fader Up', 'Let’s Move', 'Can’t Stop', 'Hood Beat', 'Broke Man' and 'Venom'. Seven of his own tracks across sixteen selections, which makes this as much a snapshot of where his productions are heading as it is a DJ mix.
There’s no messing around with the pacing either. The records keep moving, the groove stays tight and there’s enough unreleased-looking ATLAC material in here to suggest the Hottrax release is only part of what he’s got lined up.
Get stuck into ATLAC’s Spotlight Mix below.

Los Angeles is doing its own thing with house music right now, and JUOS is right in the middle of it.
The South Central LA producer joins us on the Data Transmission Podcast this week, bringing a set packed with Latin rhythms, bass house pressure, hip-hop edits and a healthy pile of unreleased music.
JUOS first caught the rave bug at Beyond Wonderland back in 2013. From there, he taught himself production while working day jobs, sometimes literally making records in his car between shifts. That grind started paying off properly with tracks like 'Dile', which landed in Cloonee's inbox and went on to rack up millions of streams.
His sound pulls directly from the city around him. Reggaeton, early 2000s hip-hop, Latin tech house and underground rave music all get dragged into the same room. It has already taken him onto labels including DIRTYBIRD, Hellbent and Thrive, while his records have picked up support from Chris Lake, John Summit, Cloonee, Diplo and Tiësto.
Now signed to Helix Records, JUOS has just dropped 'Tequila Bounce' alongside No Thanks and Nevee, following a year that has included a sold-out 360 show at Exchange LA and an EDC Las Vegas debut.
And the mix gives a pretty good idea of where things are heading next.
JUOS opens with 'Tequila Bounce' before running through his own collaborations with Techno Tupac and Andruss, edits of Pitbull, Justin Timberlake and ASAP Ferg, plus unreleased weapons from HARG!, Edris Omar, LOOZBONE, BRANDON, Snooko & DEDRO and plenty more.
There are also several JUOS IDs buried inside, including 'Mirala Bien', 'DTMF' and a closing collaboration with Taylr Renee, 'Bad News'.
Twenty-three tracks, a serious amount of unreleased music and plenty of that LA bounce running through the whole thing.
Get stuck into JUOS on the Data Transmission Podcast.

    ## Sunora step into the Spotlight with a groove-heavy session
There’s a nice bit of digging in this one.
Sunora join us for this week’s Spotlight Mix, with Chertkovski and Alar putting together a session that sits somewhere between dreamy open-air house, rolling club grooves and the sort of records that sound particularly good once the sun has disappeared.
The project only officially arrived in 2026, but there is plenty of experience behind it. Chertkovski and Alar have both spent years producing, DJing and moving through different corners of electronic music, and Sunora feels like the point where those influences have properly met.
Their first release came alongside Lee Burridge with 'Bianco Montana' on All Day I Dream, before the duo launched their own SUNCTURE imprint in April. Since then, they’ve been steadily building around warm synths, rolling basslines, organic touches and house music that has enough melody to breathe without forgetting what the kick drum is there for.
That same balance runs through their Spotlight Mix.
There’s plenty of Sunora DNA scattered across the tracklist, including FunkT!de & Sunora’s unreleased 'Sex Machine', Sunora and FunkT!de’s 'Underground Baby', and another unreleased collaboration with Lee Burridge, 'Man With a Guitar'.
Elsewhere, Rafael’s 'Gotta Be Cool' on Crosstown Rebels adds some low-slung swagger, Volkoder’s 'Steamy' brings a heavier groove, and Jackie (IT) and AVIV SAB’s 'Sexy M.F.' keeps things firmly aimed at the floor.
There are a few IDs tucked away too, which is always a good sign.
One of the biggest curiosities lands right at the start, with an unreleased Lee Burridge and Sunora edit of Deee-Lite’s 'What Is Love?' setting the tone before the mix moves through SUNCTURE, Maccabi House, Get Physical, Crosstown Rebels and All Day I Dream territory.
It is a strong snapshot of what Sunora are building right now. Musical without drifting off, deep without losing its bounce, and packed with records that could work just as comfortably on a beach in Thailand as they could in a dark basement several hours later.
Get into Sunora’s Spotlight Mix below.

    # CASH ONLY steps up for the Data Transmission Podcast ahead of Love to be… Festival
CASH ONLY is heading to Harrogate this weekend, and before he lands at Love to be… Festival on Saturday 5th September, he takes control of the Data Transmission Podcast with a mix that moves freely through house, garage and everything sitting nicely between the two.
That freedom has always been a big part of his appeal. CASH ONLY came up through record shop culture in the late 90s, with jungle and UK garage pushing him towards his first set of decks. Since then, he has spent more than 25 years working across the industry as a DJ, promoter, producer, tour manager and label boss. His sets have developed the same breadth, mixing timeless records, unreleased weapons and his own edits without getting stuck in one lane.
This week’s podcast gets straight into it. Alaia & Gallo’s ‘Lipstick’ gets the Tony Romera treatment early doors before the mix runs through Solardo, Archie Hamilton, Route 94, Soulsearcher and Bushbaby & Danny P. There are plenty of exclusives in there too, including unreleased music from Jewel Kid & Wh0, Illyus Barrientos x Nesi and Capri x Denis Sulta.
CASH ONLY also brings a few of his own bits to the table. His G-Double-E edit of Fish Go Deep’s ‘The Cure and the Cause’ appears alongside a dubplate from Casnova and his forthcoming remix of Weiss’ ‘Feel My Needs’ with Ruejay.
That Weiss remix is a particularly big one for him. Arriving on Toolroom in September, it marks his first release for the label and sees him getting his hands on one of the catalogue’s best-known records. He also has a new release coming on Jewel Kid’s Alleanza, taking things into a bassier, garage-influenced house direction.
There is plenty happening away from the studio too. CASH ONLY’s recent run has taken in Glastonbury, Hï Ibiza, Studio 338, Ministry of Sound and Defected Festivals, and this weekend he joins the Love to be… Festival lineup at The Stray in Harrogate.
Love to be… returns with a 6,000-capacity crowd and three stages of house music, with Claptone, Paul Woolford, Sam Divine, David Penn, Mousse T, Todd Terry, Gok Wan and plenty more alongside CASH ONLY on the bill.
As CASH ONLY puts it, the mix is “a journey across the spectrum of House and Garage”, and that pretty much nails it. Big records, quick turns, garage pressure, house grooves and enough unreleased material to keep the Shazams busy.
Turn it up, get stuck into the full mix below, and if you’re heading to Harrogate on Saturday, make sure you catch CASH ONLY at Love to be… Festival.

Jill Stanley lands in our Spotlight Mix series fresh from her dt weapons debut, ‘99’, a track built for the point in the night when the room is locked in and subtlety can wait.
The Los Angeles-based DJ and producer has one of the more unusual routes into dance music, balancing club records with life as a trial lawyer and law professor. Musically, though, the focus is clear. House and tech house, tight drums, heavy low-end and records that get to the point quickly.
That same approach runs through ‘99’. Released on dt weapons this month, Jill Stanley’s track rolls on a punchy groove, crisp percussion and a hypnotic vocal hook, keeping the pressure on without overcrowding the mix. It follows releases and remixes connected with Defected, Space Yacht, Natura Viva and My Techno Weighs A Ton, and feels like a natural fit for the label.
Her Spotlight Mix gives us a wider look at what sits around that sound. Jill mixes Radio Slave and Kameelah Waheed’s ‘All Rize’ with cuts from BUJA, VLTRA, Genesi, Joshwa, Discip, OMRI, SIDEPIECE and Volkoder, while dropping plenty of her own material into the session.
Alongside ‘99’, there are Jill Stanley productions including ‘Death Wish’, ‘Wouldn’t Be You’, ‘Break It Down’, ‘Get Cold’, ‘Bad Behavior’ and ‘Good Time’. That makes this less of a quick promo mix and more of a proper snapshot of where her sound is heading right now.
Rolling tech house, tougher late-night moments and enough bounce to keep things moving. Get into Jill Stanley’s Spotlight Mix below.
