I speak with Rahim Thawer, currently living between Johannesburg and Cape Town as a visiting international scholar about how dating and socializing continue to be impacted by racial divisions that have yet to be dismantled.
Rahim is South Asian (Indian), Muslim, and Queer, practicing as a social worker / psychotherapist, writer, and public speaker in Toronto, Canada. Rahim speaks and writes on topics such as systemic oppression and mental health, LGBTQ Muslim mental health, shame, sexuality and homophobia.
