In this episode, Caleb, Jacob, and Griffin dive into exploring what dating and romantic relationships look like through the lens of "simply love Jesus." It's difficult to approach dating from a biblical perspective when the Bible says nothing about dating (at least the way we understand it in the 20th-century world.) But regardless, a relationship with Jesus does teach us how we can have healthy dating lives. When we pursue a relationship with God, our mind and heart should change to value what Jesus values. In this midst of that, we learn to serve the one we are pursuing romantically in the same way God pursues us, with selflessness.
Simply loving Jesus even changes the way we argue in a dating relationship. Instead of being me-focused and focused on ourselves, our first concern should be the other person and concerned about their heart and, as James 1:19 says, be "quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry."
We hope you learn so much through this episode! Let us know how we can pray for you.
