Redemption
Have we got a fun episode coming up or what? EVERY episode of the Daughter of Godcast Season Two Crowd Creation is scintillating to be sure, but Episode 086 Redemption is the bomb. After 16 weeks of feedback on props and scenes we’re going behind the scenes to count our blessings, more to the point YOUR Blessings.
Blessings are the basis for Daughter of God’s reputation economy. Yes, this movie even has it’s own anarchistic barter scheme! The deal is this – anyone who helps the movie is blessed. Blessings can be redeemed for super classy movie swag, unique services and even travel and lodging. Whoa!

The guy from Creaky is back! He’s not red and is missing his hat, but now strangely jittery, as if slightly out of phase with his environment. He seems to have important news for the woman, who he calls Christi (Christina). We can call her that too. What jumps out about this moment between them?

[snip] “I like the otherworldly-ness of Uncle Joe. The shakiness is very effective as is the ghost face. Of course, I just want more.”
I asked Jil a clarifying question
“What does the shakiness tell you about Uncle Joe?”
Jil’s answer
[snip] “The shakiness tells me that Joe is vibrating on an exalted frequency. He inhabits more than one dimension.”
“vibrating on an exalted frequency”, I like that a lot!

“What jumped out to me is how playful she seems. It’s a curious reaction given the context. An angel appearing in the form of her dead uncle, jittering unnervingly? I might be a bit more bewildered! Maybe Uncle Joe was always the fun uncle when she was a kid, and his presence stirs a deep association with games and laughter within her.”
I like the way Seamus synthesized the contradictory elements. “his presence stirs a deep association with games and laughter,” that’s a wonderful interpretation.
Seamus was mystified by the face popping up, what Jil referred to as the ghost face. He wanted to know who it was.
I sidestepped his question with tangential elaboration.
“Does the identity of the face matter? Maybe not to us, but to Christina – who Joe is appearing to? Can we learn more about these two if we knew who the face is/was?
There will likely be a few more faces inserted into this scene, [snip]. Simply stated, the face(s) are artifacts of Uncle Joe’s presence, possibly a projection by him as a sort of subliminal exclamation point OR a hallucination by Christina induced by the jitter.”
Whether Joe’s jitter and the ghost faces are of supernatural or technological origins remains to be revealed. There’s a fuzzy border between technology and magic anyway, if we consider Clarke’s laws as discussed in several episodes of Daughter of Godcast Season One, The Gentle Release.
Feedback from just two of our most worthy. Though the Crowd has thinned, the insight remains excellent. Can the brave experiment that is the Daughter of Godcast Crowd Creation survive further attrition? Is there any hope of bringing back collaborators? Of recruiting a massive force of feedback contributors? How will the Daughter of God find her chosen people?
