I was SUPER shocked to hear that BMX and X Games Legend Dave Mirra was found dead yesterday. He was only 41 years old. He leaves a wife and two kids behind. Dave was in Sheboygan a few years ago (11-12-2010) promoting financial awareness and life goals. He's was one of the most down-to-earth "regular" guys you'd ever meet. I also remember how friendly he was. He had time for everyone that day. Sad to see him gone.

(Greenville, NC) -- BMX legend Dave Mirra is dead at the age of 41. Police in Greenville, North Carolina, said on Facebook that Mirra's death was an apparent suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot. They said Mirra had been visiting with friends shortly before being found dead in his truck yesterday afternoon. The former host of MTV's "Real World/Road Rules Challenge" finished his BMX career with 24 total X Games medals. Mirra is survived by his wife and their two children. (Metro News)
