Samuel is sent to Bethlehem, where God has seen a King for himself among Jesse's sons. Samuel thinks it might be the oldest or the strongest, but God sees more than external appearances. God sees the real worth of a human: what is in the heart, and it is on this basis that God has chosen David to be King.
