When the Philistine, Goliath, challenged the army of Israel to battle, none seemed prepared to accept.  Except for a civilian, a shepherd 'boy' by the name of David.  What was it that so emboldened David to volunteer for combat, when trained soldiers shrunk back?  Could something similar embolden us in our service for God?
