Throughout the 1990s, there was a batch of Manchester City graduates who made their way into the first team that fans were able to feel a connection to, largely because they were from the local area. A pair of brothers, Ian and David Brightwell, were in that bracket. In 2018, David Mooney caught up with David to discuss how he made the journey from youth football in the local leagues in Congleton all the way up to City's first team - and the influence of having an older brother already playing for the club when he first arrived.
