In 2023, Grusch interviewed journalists and gave testimony at a hearing of the United States House of Representatives. Grusch alleged that the United States federal government has a secret “Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon” (UAP) Recovery and reverse engineering program, and that it owns “non-human” spacecraft along with their “dead pilots.” In 2022, he filed a “Whistleblower” complaint with the United States Office of the intelligence community inspector general (ICIG) in support of his proposed disclosure of classified information to the United States Senate select committee on intelligence. Grusch also filed a complaint accusing his superiors of retaliation for a similar complaint filed in 2021.
