David Hill has written about gambling and his life for Grantland, The New Yorker, The New York Times and well, everywhere. He tells us how his upbringing in Hot Springs, Arkansas and his early career as a union organizer led to him being a professional writer and set the scene for his first novel, The Vapors. David is also the host of the Gamblers podcast and talks about the difficulties of telling those stories during the pandemic and his wild ride with Mike McCaskill of Gamestop stonks fame.
