Professor David Hufford, Senior Fellow at the The Samueli Institute in Virginia. His inquiry has focused on spiritual experience, the experiential grounds for spiritual beliefs, and the role of reason in their development and persistence. His paper “Folk Healing Comes of Age” was given in Trinity College Dublin on September 16th 2010 and was in association with Trinity Long Room Hub. Prof Hufford was also in Dublin to launch the publication of FOLK HEALING AND HEALTH CARE PRACTICES IN BRITAIN AND IRELAND: Stethoscopes, Wands and Crystals a new book edited by Ronnie Moore and Stuart McClean.
