In Psalm 18, David declared his love for God, his strength and deliverer from all his enemies consistent with how God delivers the righteous from all their afflictions - Psalm 34:19-20. David did not only confront strong enemies like Saul and his own son Absalom, but he confronted a more stronger enemy of sin. So, David's deliverance and that of ours transcend deliverance from physical adversaries and earthly troubles to sin and its eternal consequences, where our spirit and soul are preserved wholly in the Lord, far beyond earthly adversities.
