Charles Spurgeon preaches about King David's dying prayer that the whole earth would be filled with God's glory, meaning that every person in every country would worship God instead of idols or false religions. Spurgeon argues this prayer should motivate Christians to work hard spreading the gospel through missions, generous giving, and holy living, because simply praying for it without doing anything is hypocritical. He ends by promising that God will definitely fulfill this prayer someday, and he challenges young men in the audience to become missionaries and dedicate their lives to bringing Christianity to distant lands where people have never heard about Jesus.
