This week we continue our journey through the big picture of the Bible story to see how King David secures Jerusalem and Israel so they have peace and rest.  King David also sets up the mobile reminder of the Garden of Eden and the Exodus, the Tabernacle, in Jerusalem.  King David plans to make the mobile Garden of Eden permanent, but the Lord promises to make one of David’s sons a king in an eternal kingdom.  King David’s greater son, Jesus, is a better king than David.  King Jesus makes real and brings to life all that the Tabernacle and the Temple had pictured and promised.
