On January 27, 1973, 20 year old Dawn Magyar stopped at the Yankee Store to buy baby clothes for her son Donnie, whose first birthday had been celebrated but the family just four days earlier and she went to Giant grocery store to buy baby food and groceries for a special meal she had planned with her husband. Within the next 90 minutes, Dawn Magyar would be kidnapped, sexually assaulted and murdered. Was the crime a random act of violence or was Dawn victimized by someone she knew?
