In today’s reading, we find out that Paul has enemies, and they are trying to make his life miserable, but somehow he doesn’t let them steal his joy. Sometimes it’s easy to feel like if you have trouble you can’t have joy, but in these verses, Paul makes it clear: joy cannot be taken, it has to be given away.
