Three men appeared to Abraham. He ran to them and bowed in respect. He recognized them as being of God. The men asked where Sarah was, then confirmed once more that Sarah would bear him a child. Sarah heard the promise and laughed because she was beyond the years of childbirth. Nothing is too hard for the Lord. There was a great outcry against Sodom because of its unrighteous deeds. The Lord allowed Abraham to know His plan to destroy Sodom, so Abraham attempted to negotiate with God to save it. He eventually asked the Lord to spare Sodom if he could find ten righteous men in it and God agreed.
