Day 10 - Volunteering at the Compassion Experience on my day off!
I know it's Sunday and I said Sundays were for me but we're passionate about Compassion International, sponsorship for kids in poverty, so I thought I would welcome you into what we do with our free time.
The Compassion Experience travels around the country in these semi trucks letting people experience a small part of what the sponsored kids face in their home countries.
It takes a lot of people to operate these trucks with setup, tear down, educating people and running the equipment.
We've volunteered with these trucks and concerts 4 or 5 times and today Andrea was helping with this one in Huntersville NC.
It will be here tomorrow still if anybody local wants to check it out. It's free!
We've sponsored a child in Thailand for over 7 years, through Compassion International and have enjoyed everything about it.
We get to write letters to him and receive letters from him. He's always so excited to get our letters and grateful knowing that we're on the other side of the world thinking of him!
