My faith lesson for today is such an incredible encouragement. Reading how Joshua followed the Lord's direction and told the tribes of Israel how to increase their land, whew!! No wonder we outgrow areas. It is predetermined for such a time as to glorify the Lord.

While flipping the pages between the Old and New Testaments, we may forget how much time elapsed between these events. As you read today, think about how you are spending your time and for whose benefit. Will your actions increase God's territory or satisfy temporary desires?
