Joshua continued to distribute the land given to Israel by God. The boundaries of the land and cities given to Judah, Ephraim, and Manasseh were detailed. Hebron was given to Caleb according to the command of God. Caleb offered his daughter, Achsah in marriage to the man who captured Kiriath-sepher (Debir). Othniel, Caleb’s nephew, captured Kiriath-sepher and Caleb gave Achsah to him as his wife. Achsah asked for a specific land from Caleb as a blessing, and Caleb granted her request.
