Guiding Scripture: John 5:5-6, "One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"

If I had been lying by the pool for thirty-eight years and didn't know who this man was, I might have been offended by the question.
His response should have been, "YES"; instead, the man begins to complain. Isn't that just like us? We have an opportunity to get healing; however, we need to point out the past and blame others! But his complaints serve as a lesson, one as old as the garden of Eden.
