Saints in a Year

Day 128: Saint John of God

Listen Later

Today the Church honors St. John of God, a Portuguese convert who dedicated his life to caring for the sick, the poor, and the forgotten.

After a dramatic conversion in Spain, John founded a ministry that eventually became the Brothers Hospitallers of St. John of God, an order still serving hospitals around the world today.

In this episode of Saints in a Year, Saul reflects on conversion, charity, and the Christian call to care for those who suffer.
