King Saul, now demonically overwhelmed, has put all of his personal and armies' efforts into capturing and killing David, as seen in 1 Samuel 22 through 24. We see Saul delivered in David's hands, but in respect for authority and God's chosen people, just as Jesus would submit to His enemies, David chooses to spare him.
