Day 13: Positive thoughts outweighing the negative ones

Waking up is such an overlooked miracle. Each day is like a new portal into a new reality. The mindset and intentions you carry out from the moment you wake up, grately influence which reality you will be experiencing and aligning with that day. Do you allow yourself to observe your very first thoughts when you open your eyes or do you repress and choose to distract yourself from being aware of them? Do you feel you don't have the time to do so? Or perhaps you choose not to focus on your internal dialogue because it's easier and more comfortable for you to just go through another day on autopilot. It may not feel like we choose how we feel when we wake up because there is no control over the very first emotions or thoughts that arrive upon waking up. The true power we have as individuals is in the choice to observe and be aware of our minds from the moment we wake up, so we can then adjust our mindset and carry out the rest of our day in a mindful way. Everyday we can choose awareness or repression when it comes to dealing with our emotions. The idea behind this podcast is to aspire others to resonate with the wackiness of the human brain upon waking up and to get comfortable with observing unwanted thoughts, rather than simply judging and repressing them. I will be recording myself when I first wake up and allowing whatever thoughts, emotions, and ideas I have to flow through. Attempting to "control" your thoughts is not the goal of mindfulness and I intend for this project to truly show that truth! The more playful you become with life, the more playful it will be for you.
