Guiding Scripture: Proverbs 15:33, Wisdom's instruction is to fear the LORD, and humility comes before honor.
Contributing Writer: Broderick Slaughter
Yeah, me too, but how many times have we allowed the world to dictate the direction we must go? How often have we forgotten our place with God and ran from His teaching? God is showing us in Proverbs 15:33 that the Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor. By following God's instructions and giving honor to Him, one can obtain the wisdom needed for this journey through the world.
Proverbs 1:7 states that the fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
