Guiding Scripture: Acts 5:38-39, 38 Therefore, in the present case, I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.39 But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.

We can learn from this story of Peter's decision to teach and talk about what happened to Jesus and what will happen when you decide to follow Him. When the purpose is a Kingdom solution that, in time, will transform the society we live in. The consequences become of no effect on changing the person's mind who decides to be a follower of Jesus. When God is the purpose-driven force behind our choices, the only consequence that concerns us is the responsibility we have in the covenant relationship that requires us to Love the Lord our God with our whole heart, mind, and soul, and our neighbor as our self.
