The priests took the ark to the temple and Solomon provided sacrifices to God. The number of sheep and oxen that were sacrificed were too many to be counted. The glory of the Lord filled the temple. Solomon blessed the Lord for fulfilling His promises to David’s house and to Israel.. Solomon prayed, asking God to hear His people when they pray and to reward their obedience so the world would witness His justice. He prayed a blessing on the people of Israel. Solomon dedicated the house of the Lord, held a seven-day feast, then sent the people to their homes joyful and glad in heart.
